Network infrastructure
built into the project.
Not bolted on after.
TD&B designs and installs commercial and residential network infrastructure — during construction, before the walls close. The result is a system that actually works, professionally installed, and managed ongoing by DPI Computing.
Every other building system has an engineer.
IT infrastructure doesn't.
Electrical, HVAC, and plumbing are designed in from the start — with licensed trades, engineered drawings, and dedicated budget line items. IT network infrastructure is almost never planned the same way. The result: problems discovered at occupancy, when fixing them costs 10 to 40 times more.
- ✗ Network closet placed in the wrong location — no power, no cooling
- ✗ Wireless coverage gaps discovered after occupancy
- ✗ Inadequate conduit pathways requiring expensive retrofits
- ✗ Cabling run through finished walls — visible, vulnerable, inferior
- ✗ No documentation — no one knows what's in the wall or where it goes
- ✗ Change orders at $5,000–$60,000 to correct post-construction
- ✓ Network closet specified in the architectural plan set — right location, right size
- ✓ Wireless coverage designed by zone before a single wall is framed
- ✓ Cabling run during framing — concealed, clean, professional
- ✓ Camera and access control rough-in completed before finish work
- ✓ Full documentation delivered at occupancy
- ✓ DPI Computing ready to manage the system from day one
Design-build for IT infrastructure —
commercial and residential.
TD&B participates in the design process as a technical infrastructure specialist, producing construction-ready IT design documents that architects and engineers incorporate directly into their drawing sets. Deliverables are formatted to professional construction document standards — ready for bid and permit.
Then TD&B builds what it designed. The same team that produced the drawings completes the installation — no translation loss, no subcontractor interpreting someone else's plans.
Commercial Network Infrastructure
Design and installation of IT network infrastructure for office, industrial, medical, retail, and multi-tenant commercial construction projects.
Structured Cabling
Cat6 horizontal and backbone cabling, home runs to central cabinet, termination, patch panel, and labeling. Designed and installed to standard.
Managed Wi-Fi
Enterprise-grade access point placement by coverage zone. Signal designed to the property — not broadcast indiscriminately.
Network Closet / MDF / IDF
Telecom space specification — room sizing, power requirements, cooling loads, and equipment layout incorporated into the architectural set.
Physical Security Systems
Camera systems, access control, and video recording. Rough-in completed during construction for clean, concealed installation.
Residential Network Infrastructure
New construction network infrastructure for homebuilders. Designed into the plans, installed during framing. Managed by DPI Computing post-occupancy.
Construction Documentation
IT infrastructure drawings formatted for inclusion in architectural plan sets. Suitable for permit submission and GC coordination.
Post-Occupancy Support
Installation transitions directly to DPI Computing managed services. The owner has a named technology partner from the day they move in.
TD&B works inside the construction schedule —
not around it.
Every TD&B installation is sequenced to the project timeline. We enter at the design stage and complete installation before finish work closes the walls. No delays. No conflicts with other trades.
Pre-Construction
Network design drawings produced. Incorporated into architectural plan set.
Rough-In
Cable pulled, home runs run to cabinet location. Camera wire to eave line.
Pre-Drywall
Rough-in inspection. All runs verified and labeled.
Trim-Out
Cabinet hung, equipment installed and configured. Cameras mounted.
Handoff
Owner orientation. DPI Computing managed services enrollment.
TD&B installs it. DPI Computing manages it.
A technology partner from the first day of occupancy.
When TD&B completes an installation, the system transitions directly to DPI Computing managed services. The owner doesn't have to find a support provider — there's already one in place who knows exactly what's installed and how it's configured.
DPI Computing monitors the network, manages firmware and security updates, handles support calls, and provides remote access to camera systems — all for a flat monthly rate. No surprise bills. No password hostage-taking. The owner's documentation and credentials belong to the owner, always.
For seasonal residents and business owners who need their technology to work reliably without managing it themselves, this is the relationship that makes that possible.
DPI Computing
- Network monitoring and remote support
- Security management and firmware updates
- Camera system monitoring and remote access
- Flat monthly rate — no variable billing
- Full documentation and credentials always belong to you
- Local team — mid-Michigan and central Ohio
