Data Protection International was founded in 2007 as a data backup and storage company serving Michigan businesses and organizations. As the threat landscape evolves, so has DPI — progressively deepening its cybersecurity expertise and capabilities.

In 2015, DPI formally became a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP), making security-first managed IT services its core business. DPI is not a company that added ‘cybersecurity’ to its marketing materials because it became a popular term. Security has been DPI’s entire business for nearly 20 years.

We do not design, configure, or implement critical network equipment nor processes (such as AD/DNS) to anyone without an intimate knowledge of their network and core business.
